2015/16 Lead School Allocations Announced

The National College for Teaching and Leadership has published details of the allocation of places to schools for School Direct – Salaried programmes starting Autumn Term 2015.

We are delighted to announce that all of our partner Lead Schools have received their full allocation, as follows:

  • Matthew Arnold Primary School = 25 Primary places
  • Everton Nursery School & Family Centre = 16 Primary places
  • Notre Dame Catholic College = 12 Secondary places

All applications MUST be made through the UCAS Teacher Training (UTT) application portal, not to partner Lead Schools or the Consortium. The UCAS application portal will open on Tuesday, 28th October

It is unlikely that our partner Lead Schools will be ready to begin their recruitment process or accept applications from this date. Details about when each Lead School will be accepting applications via the UCAS portal will be posted here shortly.

Applications will be accepted as follows:

Matthew Arnold Primary School
Applications will be accepted for any Primary phase. However, applicants will need to nominate their own Employing School. Candidates should register their proposed Employing School with the Consortium in advance, by emailing the Headteacher’s contact details to admin@TeacherTrainingConsortium.org.uk as soon as possible.

Everton Nursery School & Family Centre
Applications will be accepted for any Primary phase, but the core focus will be on Early Years. Candidates will be employed by one of Partner Schools of the Lead School, so please keep travel-to-work distance in mind when submitting an application.

Notre Dame Catholic College
Subjects: Computer Science; English; Geography; History; Physical Education; Psychology & Religious Education.

Candidates will be employed by one of Partner Schools of the Lead School, so please keep travel-to-work distance in mind when submitting an application.

At this stage, all contact about places should be to the Consortium and NOT to the Lead School.

For potential candidates interested in applying for a place with the Matthew Arnold partnership the first drop-in Open Evening for any School Direct candidates will be held at Matthew Arnold Primary School Training Centre, Liverpool, on Thursday 23rd October from 4.00 to 7.00. The Consortium will have a representative present to address any questions on the salaried programme.

The Consortium will be organising a School Direct Salaried Demystified event on the afternoon of Thursday 27 November, 2014. Further details and booking information will follow nearer the time.

Further information and updates on the 2015/16 School Direct Salaried Teacher Training Programme will be posted here as soon as they become available…
